Hi, I’m Lori — And This Is the Heart Behind My Work

December 06, 20252 min read

I used to be really good at starting… and really bad at finishing.

At one point, I had notebooks full of lists, half-finished projects, and this nagging feeling that maybe I just wasn’t disciplined enough. I’d set big goals, get excited, dive in headfirst... and then burn out before I ever made it to the finish line.

Here’s the truth:
I wasn’t lazy. I wasn’t unmotivated. I just didn’t have a system that worked with my brain.
And I didn’t know that yet.

The Turning Point

After years of helping students, teachers, and parents break down overwhelming challenges into doable steps, it finally hit me:
I wasn’t doing that for myself.

I was so used to being the helper aka the one who had it together, the one everyone came to, that I never slowed down long enough to recognize my own patterns. I kept trying to “fix” my habits by forcing myself into systems that weren’t built for me… and then wondering why I always felt behind.

Everything shifted when I stopped fighting who I was and started building habits that supported my natural rhythms instead of working against them.
Once I did that?

My energy changed.
My mood changed.
My ability to follow through changed.
And honestly, my whole sense of self changed.

When I began choosing a goal that was just for me- something that wasn’t for my school, my family, or anyone else... it lit something up. I felt grounded, more regulated, more hopeful, and more connected to myself than I had in years.

That’s when I realized:
This isn’t just about productivity.
This is about identity.

And when women finally get to experience that shift?
It changes everything.

Why I Coach

Now, I help women who remind me so much of myself- women who have big dreams and incredible intentions but feel stuck in the loop of overwhelm, perfectionism, and starting over.

My approach is simple and supportive:

  • We break big goals into realistic, doable steps.

  • We build habits that actually fit your life.

  • We create systems that work with your brain, not against it.

  • We track progress in ways that feel grounding, not stressful.

  • And we do it all with compassion, structure, and a little humor.

You don’t need to “try harder.”
You need a framework that honors who you are.

If You’re Here, You’re Not Alone

You already have what you need.
I’m just here to help you build it, one tiny step at a time.
